| I know that no one really does their xanga anymore, but for some reason, I feel like I should update. Even if its just for myself. So here it goes
Vegas and my 21st birthday were amazing! I went out to Cheeseburger in paradise for dinner with Dean, Mindy, Steph W, Duckie, my brother and his girlfriend Jen. I ordered my first drink and it was awesomely good. After dinner, everyone came back to my place for a few more drinks but since dean and i had to get up really early for our flight, the party was over by midnight.
Once we got to Vegas, Dean and I checked into our hotel and headed to the pool! Even though it was about 95 degrees out, we were still in the hot tub. Later that first night we went to see Ka, the new Cirque de solei show. I was blown away! It was awesome and i definitely recommend it to EVERYONE. Then we just walked around and bought souvineers. I never realized how huge the strip was but my feet were KILLING me by the time we were back at the hotel. The second day we just walked around and saw the sites: Bellagio fountain, Mirage volcano, TI pirate show and spent most of our time gambling and enjoying the free drinks. HAHA I was sad when it was over and can not wait to go back!
This semester is going well. I absolutely LOVE my roomies this year and we are all getting along great even though I am usually over at Dean, Jason and Craig's place. The worst thing about this semester so far is the fact that i am constantly nervous about the work i need to do for my classes. On the 24th I have to start teaching a three day unit on Edgar Allan Poe for a class of juniors at U-high and I am TERRIFIED!!!!! I still haven't really started it yet... Hopefully I will live.

| So if there is a thing as a best week ever, I am having one that is pretty darn close! This weekend Dean and I were down in Normal setting up his apartment just hanging out and watching movies. Saturday, I obviously got Harry Potter 7 and finished it by Sunday. It was awesome to finally read the ending, but kind of sad at the same time. I can't believe its over!
But anyway, the BEST part of my week is that for my birthday, Dean and I are going to VEGAS!!!! Our parents each bought us a ticket and we are going to be staying at Treasure Island. I AM SOOOO EXCITED!

| So I hadn't updated this in forever, but after talking to everyone, I learned that you all still read these, so I guess I will keep updating! So far this summer has been pretty good. I've already seen Mindy more times this month than all of last summer! Lol. Pirates 3 was WAY better than Pirates 2. I actually liked it and would be willing to see it again, despite the outrageous movie ticket prices!
This summer seems like its going to be a great one, I am already working 2 jobs- Babysitting Jenni and working at CSD 200's summer school. I am also REALLY happy about my new roomies for this year and I think we are going to have a great time living together.
The only bad thing is that Dean is living at the lake again....so far away! Hopefully I will get to see him at least once a week, but it probably wont work out that way since he has week days off and I have weekends off. But it should be fun whenever I get to see him. I learned how to drive and park the boat when I was there this week and it was REALLY fun. lol Hope everyone else is having a great summer!

| Well, spring break is almost over and it has gone by REALLY fast! However, I've had a lot of fun, even though I really havent done that much. Lake Geneva with Dean and Jason was a blast, especially since we spend most of our time in the hot tub!  AND, I had a blast yesterday getting to hang out and just talk with my friends. I really missed getting to see and talk to everyone. I never realized how much fun I have just sitting around talking and making up ideas for my book. O, and I bought 5 movies. HAHA. I have an addiction...i think i need an intervention. | | |
| Happy Valentines day everyone! Yesterday we had a snow day, which was awesome because we got about 10 inches of snow in some places! And then today we had a half snow day, because all classes before 12 were cancelled, so I only had one class today. What a great V-day! Hehe. And I got flowers delivered to my apartment from Dean and they are GORGEOUS red roses that came in this really pretty red vase. He also got me the new Sims Life Stories (which is awesome by the way) and another Sim thing that came with Sim City 3000, Sim Copter, Sim Coaster, Sim Theme Park, Sim Golf Course and Sim Safari. I LOVE HIM! lol  We are going out for dinner tomorrow since all the restaurants are packed and the streets are REALLY bad. This weekend Dean and I are going up to Lake Geneva to go skiing and snowmobiling. It should be a lot of fun, but i've never been on a snowmobile and I'm kinda scared! And then on Sunday we are going to North Beach (by the Best Buy on Butterfield Road) to celebrate my mom's 50th birthday!!!! That will be awesome because i will get to see all my cousins and the baby and listen to my brother's band. I hope everyone else had great snow days/Valentines day!
